Wear Sunscreen

Sunscreen recommendations—wear sunscreen daily and reapply often. Ninety percent of premature skin aging is caused by sun exposure—not to mention skin cancers like basal and squamous cell carcinomas. Every year I check the Environmental Working Group’s (“EWG’s”) list of safest sunscreens. You can check there too and order a fun sampler pack.

This year my favorites have been:

  • Mychelle Dermaceuticals Protect Sunshield Lotion Unscented (SPF28) for general use

  • Blue Lizard Baby Sunscreen Lotion (SPF30) for my kids

  • Supergood! Mineral Sheerscreen Sunscreen Lotion (SPF30) for my face

  • EltaMD Tinted (SPF41) for a tinted solution

You can do your own research and pick your own favorites, but be sure to check each product individually rather than relying on a brand name because some brands’ products’ health scores vary greatly.

Enjoy!
